The Fundamentals of Painting Furniture

In this intensive 3-day course (9 hours) you will learn:

• all about 2 of the most popular furniture refinishing paints- Chalk paints, All in One paints and how to get the best results when using them.
• the steps you need to know to upcycle furniture.
• in-depth how to apply techniques such as modern, colour wash, an authentic distressed finish and learn how to achieve different looks with each technique.​
• how to properly apply waxes and Clear coat.
• to complete small project that will be provided.

This course is designed to be very hands-on, you will create sample boards as a guide that you can take home. All materials, supplies, aprons and a notebook to take notes will be provided.

Location- This course will be held in the east end of Ottawa at Square Lemon Artistic Association. 2350 Stevenage Drive Unit 14, Ottawa ON K1G 3W3

Saturday October 23, 30, & November 6 1-4pm

This course is for you if:

• You have never picked up a paint brush or have wanted to start a project but are not sure where to begin
• have painted some projects but are not familiar with any techniques
• you have previously taken a workshop and want to learn more in-depth techniques and skills

Once you have completed this level you can register for the Intermediate before moving on to the Advance

Custom Dollhouse Workshop

In this workshop you will receive:

• Pre class planning questionnaire and guidance to help plan your creation.
• Instruction during workshop on techniques to achieve your vision.
• Paint,  brushes, decoupage papers & other DIY products.
• Custom dollhouse to take home.
